In Vitro Foravirumab (CR4098) recognizes epitopes localized in antigenic site III. Foravirumab still binds to the mutated glycoprotein (N336D) expressed on PER.C6 cells. Foravirumab shows similar neutralizing potency and breadth as CR57, and neutralizes CR57 escape mutants[1].
In Vivo In Syrian hamster bearing natural rabies virus, Foravirumab (CR4098; 10, 20, and 40 IU/kg) provids protection against the lethal natural rabies virus infection[1].
