Abstract
JIethyl isopropyl ketone did not undergo the 1Iichael condensation with illethyl vinyl ketone under the reactions used in the present study. While the acyclic ketones showed little or no (0-l, j., jyc) tendency to add to methyl vinyl ketone, the cyclic ketones, cyclopentanone, cyclohexanone, and 2-niethylcyclohexane, reacted readily to give fair to good yields of condensation products.
