Abstract

A number of new compounds have been synthesized in connection with a study of the relationship of position isomerism with surface activity. These compounds are of the type consisting of various polyalkoxy ethers of the isomeric hydroxybenzolc acids, and have been prepared by the Williamson synthesis of mixed ethers.
