Abstract
The biosynthesis of the fungal metabolite oudenone (1) was investigated in cultures of Oudemamiella radicata. Feeding experiments using 13C-and 2H-labeled precursors, as well as NMR analyses of the labeled metabolite, suggested a polyketide origin.
