Abstract
The reaction of heterocyclic aromatic amines, anilines and tertiary amines with dimethyldioxirane (DMD) was examined. Treatment of heterocyclic aromatic amines and anilines with a slight excess of DMD at 0° C afforded the corresponding N-oxides in quantitative conversion yields.
