Abstract

The synthesis of the oximes of 3-formylrifamycin SV and the preparation of some of the 0- substituted hydroxylamine intermediates are described. The chemical and physical characteristics, the antibacterial activity on wildtype and rifampicin-resistant strains, and other biological properties of the new derivatives are reported.
