Abstract
The reaction of 3, 3-dimethylbutene with DTBP was carried out in a 125-cc-capacity stainless steel rotating autoclave, heated at 140-150" for 3.5 hr. The autoclave was then cooled, and both liquid and gaseous reaction products were collected and analyzed using a F & J! t Model 720 programmed temperature gas chromatograph.
