Abstract

MCM-TBD of these bases are about 25, ensuring a well-defined and strong basicity. IR1 TBD contains a NH group, which can be immobilized by nucleophilic attack on an immobilized electrophile. The traditional approach uses substitution of a chloro-or bromopropyl group with the amine. However, this requires harsh conditions, and the liberated acids (HCl, HBr) might poison the base sites.
