Abstract

In order to initiate a study of the reactions of the alkyl hydroxamates, the preparation of representative benzo-, aniso-, toluo-, aceto-, and propionhydroxamic esters has been carried out by the reaction of sodium and potassium salts of hydroxamic acid with alkyl halides.
