Abstract

As part of our studies on metallated diylides 4 and diazaylides 5 exhibiting a high nucleophilicity, we recently became interested in the reactivity of the lithium azayldiide Ph 3 P NLi (2) 6 (isoelectronic with the methylide Ph 3 P CHLi) 7 towards various and commercially available phosphorus electrophiles.
