Abstract

JANUARY 1967 NOTES 247 was a little lower than the highest reported value^,'^*^^ did not change significantly on further recrystallization. I was coupled in aqueous solution with an equimolar amount of L-homocysteine generated from the S-benzyl derivative by treatment with sodium in liquid amnionia. lo The crude monoacetylcystathionine derivative obtained after removal of the solvent was triturated with acetone to remove sodium iodide. ...
