Oct., 1937 PYROLYSIS OF COMPLEX TRIPHENYLMETHYL ETHERS 1949 tinued for three and a quarter hours longer during which time 40 ml. of fuming nitric acid, 10 ml. of fuming sulfuric acid and 13 ml. of concd. sulfuric acid were added in small portions keeping the ratio of the two acids constant.
