Abstract

The sequential Hiyama cross-coupling/Narasaka acylation reactions have been also successfully applied to the synthesis of α,β-unsaturated carbonyl motifs.(20) This catalytic acylation protocol has been developed mostly for dimethylphenyl-substituted vinylsilanes, which appears to be more reactive than vinylsilanes with trimethylsilyl groups under the given conditions (1,4-dioxane, 90 °C).
