Abstract: Sulfoxides can directly be converted into N-cyanosulfilimines using a new Burgess- type reagent. By applying this strategy with a related reagent variant, synthetically valuable NH-sulfox-ACHTUNGTRENNUNGimines have been prepared from sulfoxides via N- protected sulfilimines.
