Abstract

Organocatalyzed asymmetric synthesis has received great attention due to it being environmentally benign and fundamentally interesting. 1 Asymmetric Michael addition of nucleophiles to nitroolefins generates very useful chiral building blocks for organic synthesis. 2 The development of efficient organocatalysts for this reaction is, therefore, of fundamental importance.
