Abstract
Summary Tribromoresorcinol evidently exists in the tautomeric pseudoquinoid form, for the effect of reagents upon it is the effect which the reagents would be expected to have upon the pseudoquinone or upon the 2, 6-dibromo-3-hydroxybenzo-quinyl-4, which corresponds to the loss of hydrogen bromide from that tautomer.
