Abstract

The oxidative cyanation and oxidative sulfonation of nitronate salts using ferricyanide as the oxidant has been rep~ rted.~?~ The use of sodium persulfate with a catalytic amount of ferricyanide was also found to be beneficial for these reactions, and the results are summarized in Table 11.
