Abstract
New atom-economical catalytic systems consisting of [Cp∗ IrCl2] 2/NaOAc (Cp∗= pentamethylcyclopentadienyl) for the N-alkylation of carbamates and amides using alcohols as alkylating agents under solvent-free conditions have been developed.
