Abstract
Abstract Trialkylsilanes readily undergo dehydrocondensation with acetylene and substituted acetylenes in the presence of the catalytic systems, H 2 PtCl 6/iodine, lithium iodide or/trialkyliodosilanes, and so the monosubstituted acetylenes HC CR (R= C 4 H 9, C (CH 3) 3, CH 2 Cl, C 6 H 5) smoothly afford the corresponding trialkyl (organylethynyl) silanes.
