Abstract
Diaryl ethers represent an important class of intermediates for pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals and polymers.[1, 2] Traditionally, the synthesis of such ethers has been accomplished via Ullmann crosscouplings, which employed aryl halides and sodium or potassium aryloxides in the presence of a stoichiometric (or greater) amount of a copper species at elevated temperatures (125–220 C).[3] Unfortunately, such drawbacks limited ...
