Abstract
1,4-diketones are very useful intermediates for thienyl, pyrrol or furyl heterocycles synthesis. 1 A synthetic pathway for this family of derivatives is the acylation reaction of α,β-unsaturated ketones. 2 For this purpose, early acylmetal reagents were only partially successful.
