Abstract: We report here an operationally simple copper-catalysed synthesis of imidazoACHTUNGTRENNUNG [1, 2-a] pyridines through CÀH activation with oxidative linkage of two CÀN bonds under very mild conditions using molecular oxygen as a sole oxidant.
