Abstract

The small size of the fluorine atom and, as shown in the previous paper, the similarly small size of the methoxyl group, le made particularly interesting a study of the properties of properly substituted 2, 2', 6, 6'-tetrafluoro-, 2, 2', 6, 6 '-tetramethoxy-and 2, 6-difluoro-2, 6 '- dimethoxydiphenyls.
