Abstract

Condensation of Phenylacetaldehyde, Benzaldehyde and Ammonia.-After concentration of the ethanolic solution of the condensation products, 9.70 g. of solid, mp 110- 160", was collected from the residue diluted with an equal volume of ether. The crude basic material during the ether extraction yielded an additional 10.35 g., mp 90-145'. The rest of the material was distilled.
