Abstract
Based on the analysis of the mechanism of aerobic oxidation of alcohols using Ru (NO)- salen catalyst, we designed a new complex, Ru (PPh3)(OH)-salen 3, which was proved to be an excellent catalyst for chemoselective aerobic oxidation of primary alcohols to the aldehydes in the presence of secondary alcohols under ambient and non-irradiated conditions.
