Abstract
Dormant hematopoietic stem cells (dHSCs) display superior serial reconstitution capacity compared to active HSCs, although their role in normal hematopoiesis has not been thoroughly investigated. Recently inCell, Cabezas-Wallscheid et al. (2017) demonstrate involvement of retinoic acid signaling in murine dHSCs for preservation of the HSC pool.
