Abstract

Since the demonstration by Hunt of the remarkable activity of acetyl choline in lowering the blood pressure, esters of choline have been extensively studied pharmacologically. Of these, choline chloride carbamate has been shown to be exceedingly active (about 40y0 of the activity of acetyl choline) and much more stable than acetyl~ holine.~ Since only very few N-substituted choline carbamates have been rep~ rted,~ it was thought desirable to ...
