Abstract
The preparation of a series of novel tricyclic ketones-heterocyclic analogs of dibenzosuberone-is described. These compounds served as intermediates toward analogs of the amitriptyline type in which an oxazole, thiazole, or imidazole ring was substituted for one of the benzene moieties.
