Abstract

Abstract: A new procedure to selectively a-monoiodinate symmetrical thiophene-capped segments is described. The monoiodinated derivatives are further modified, giving access to a variety of thiophene-based building blocks, which are useful for eg oligomer synthesis via segmental coupling.
