Abstract

A number of aryl semicarbazones displayed anticonvulsant activity in the maximal electroshock (MES) and subcutaneous pentylenetetrazole (scPTZ) screens when administered intraperitoneally to mice. When given by the oral route to rats, protection was afforded in the MES but not scPTZ tests.
