Abstract

Compound 1 was treated with an equimolar amount of nitrone 2 in chloroform solution at room temperature. After 20 h, the chromatography of the product mixture gave compounds 3a, 6a, and 9 in 21%, 43%, and 7% yields, respectively. While the indole derivative 6a was recognized upon comparison with an authentic ample,^ the 4-isoxazoline structures 3a and 9 were assigned on the basis of analytical and spectral data.
