Abstract
Abstract Various functionalized phosphinocarboxylic acids have been prepared by a number of complementary methods. Reactions of relatively electron-poor secondary phosphides with electron-rich halocarboxylates in liquid ammonia give high yields of phosphinocarboxylates.
