Abstract

Phosphonoacetic acid (PAA, 1) was coupled with various acyclonucleosides, 2 '- deoxyuridines, cytidines, and arabinosyluracils, with 2, 4, 6-triisopropylbenzenesulfonyl chloride (TPS) or dicyclohexylcarbodiimide (DCCI) as condensing agents, to give a range of phosphonate esters.
