Abstract
The conformations of tetracationic paracyclophane and metacyclophane derivatives containing quaternary salts of para-2, 2-diazaterphenyl were investigated. The molecules were synthesized as the bromide and hexafluorophosphate salts which allowed solubility in aqueous and organic solvents.
