Abstract

A coordinatively unsaturated ruthenium complex catalyzed the formation of a carbon-carbon bond between two judiciously chosen alkene and alkyne partners in good yield, and in a chemo-and regioselective fashion, despite the significant degree of unsaturation of the substrates.
