Abstract

The thermal decomposition of bis-6-pheuylvaleryl peroxide has been studied in solution in carbon tetrachloride and in Ixnzene. By use of dilute solutions (4-16 mmolar) and of an aliphatic type of peroxide, complicating induced decomposition reactions have been minimized.
