Abstract

New spirofluorene-based quadrupolar two-photon absorbing dyes having triphenylamine and N, Ndibutylaniline as electron donors at the end of molcules were designed and synthesized. The thirdorder nonlinear optical properties of these compounds were studied using a two-photon excited fluorescence method.
