Abstract
Heavier alkaline earth bis (trimethylsilyl) amides [Ae {N (SiMe3) 2} 2] 2 (Ae= Ca, Sr, Ba) are shown to act as effective precatalysts for the regioselective intramolecular hydroalkoxylation/ cyclization of a wide range of alkynyl and allenyl alcohols.
