Abstract: Rate constants and, where possible, equilibrium constants for the reactions of several alkylthiolate ions with a series of triarylmethyl cations, p- dimethylaminophenyltropylium ion, and 2, 4-dinitroiodobenzene have been determined in aqueous solution at 25 OC.
