Abstract
Charge transfer complexes NS+ MFn-arene, where M= B, n= 4; M= P, As, or Sb, n= 6; and arene is hexamethylbenzene, mesitylene, napthalene, or 9, 10-dimethylanthracene, have been prepared and characterized. The reaction of NS+ MF6-(M= As or Sb) with highly oriented pyrolytic graphite results in graphite intercalated only with the metal fluoride anions.
