Abstract
The mycotoxin ochratoxin A is a potent inhibitor of the protein biosynthesis and known to be cytotoxic in nanomolar concentrations. In order to investigate the relationship between stereochemistry and cytotoxicity of this compound, all four ochratoxin A stereoisomers have been synthesized.
