Abstract: The reduction of Ph2C2N3SC1, prepared from the reaction of benzamidine with S3N3C13, with triphenylantimony yields the 3, 5-diphenyl-1, 2, 4, 6-thiatriazinyI radical Ph2C2N, S-, whose ESR signal in CH2CI2 consists of a seven-line pattern with equal hyperfine coupling constants to all three nitrogen atoms (aN= 0.397 mT, g= 2.0059).
