Abstract

Abstract A straightforward method for the preparation of substituted nicotinonitriles has been developed. Starting from conjugated β-enaminonitriles and iminium salts, this methodology establishes a convenient access to 6-aryl-(5), 6-amino-(16) and 6-carboxylic ester- substituted derivatives 14 and as well to acetic acid-substituted pyrroles 12.
