Abstract
Pyrrolizidine and indolizidine skeletons were constructed effectively by l, 2-annulation on a pyrrolidine ring by utilizing anodically prepared l-(alkoxycarbonyl)-2-methoxypyrrolidines as key intermediates. Elaeocarpus alkaloids (&)-elaeokanine A and (*)-elaeokanine C were synthesized in five steps from 1-(methoxycarbony1)-2-methoxypyrrolidine, and also the synthesis of necins of Senecio alkaloids (*)-trachelanthamidine and (*)-isoretronecanol ...
