Abstract

The reaction of 2-PySH with CH2Br2 and CHBr3 yielded CH2 (2-PyS) 2 (1) CH (2-PyS) 3 (2), respectively. Both compounds were fully characterised by 1H and 13C {1H} NMR spectroscopy and showed satisfactory elemental analysis. The X-ray crystallographic studies can be summarised as follows:(1) monoclinic P21/c, a= 17.8440 (7), b= 4.2426 (2), c= 15.1294 (6) Å, α= 90, β= 107.1710 (10) and γ= 90°, V= 1094.32 (8) Å3 and Z= 4;(2) ...
