Abstract
The transmetalation of interelement linkages with CuIÀ Oalkyl complexes provides a facile entry into nucleophilic main group element/copper (I) compounds. An intriguing sbond metathesis is believed to be the activating step, thus building a conceptual bridge between the emerging areas of CuIÀH,[1a] CuIÀB,[1b] and CuIÀSi [1c] chemistry (I–III; Figure 1).
