Abstract

Abstract 3-[(2-Aminomethyl)-5-mercapto-1, 3, 4-thiadiazolyl] indole (1), obtained by Mannich condensation of 2-amino-5-mercapto-1, 3, 4-thiadiazole with indole and formaldehyde, was subjected to mercaptoetherification with epichlorohydrin to yield 3-[(2-aminomethyl)-5-(3- epoxypropylmercapto)-1, 3, 4-thiadiazolyl] indole (2), which, on hydrolysis with NaOH and subsequent treatment with various arylamines, gave the 3-[(2-aminomethyl)-5-(2-hydroxy- ...
