Abstract

The pyrolysis of dichloro (pentafluoropheny1) borane with mesidine or p-anisidine, originally reported to yield monomeric boron imides, has been restudied. Rather than boron imides, the reactions give aminoboranes,(aminoboranyl) aminoboranes, or bis (amin0) boranes depending on the duration of pyrolysis.
