Abstract

The antitumor antibiotics with enediyne cores show- ing either remarkable cytotoxicities or DNA cleaving prop- erties, and represented by neocarzinostatin,1 calicheamicins,2 esperimicins3 and dynemicins,4 have received the highest attention with design and synthesis of new leading com- pounds in the development of antitumor agents.
