Abstract

Human rhinoviruses (HRVs) are solely responsible for the common cold in humans, 1 and many members of this family of viruses are also human pathogens, eg, enteroviruses (polioviruses, coxsackieviruses, echoviruses and hepatitis A viruses), aphthoviruses (foot and mouth disease viruses), and cardioviruses (mengo and encephalomyocarditis viruses).
